Grade 3 are visiting the Planetarium next week.
Can you explain to them why they can’t use flash photography inside?

  1. I and my mom made a experiment: We were in a dark room. Then I put the flashlight on. Then I did it on the wall (the wall was white). Next my mom made a photograph of it. BUT photograph has to be with a flash. Then I looked at the picture. And you did not see the light. And now my reason:I think that if you have a light and you shine with a other light on it that is mayby bigger. That you can not see the light because it like goes over the other light.Like in a fight that the bigger light wins.

  2. They couldn`t use flash photography because If you are in a dark room and there are just some light points, and then use flash everything turns white and you just see white on the photo.

  3. ..because the light of the flash is stronger than the projector and then you don't see the planets on the photo.

  4. If you use a flash in the planetarium, the light of the flash is brighter than the light in the planetarium. So your photo will be white.

  5. In the Planetarium we can see pictures on the walls and ceiling that come from a projector. If we take a photo of this with a flash, the flash will take the picture away because the light from the flash is stronger than the light from the projector.
