How can you see different colours from the sun's reflection?

    The sun light on the white desk allows us to see the different colors.

    The CD splits the white light into his real colors:rainbow colors!

    The sun´s light is not yellow or white,it is violett, blue, red, orange, yellow and green.The disc reflects these coulors.

    I've read that because the surface of a CD has so many grooves it diffracts white light into different colours. I would like to fnd out more about diffraction.
