Thinking Prompt One following our trip to The Zeiss Großplanetarium

1.    If you had to design a planetarium, how would you use the properties of light and sound to ensure that visitors had an enjoyable experience?

  1. isabel presents her planetarium: If I would style my planetarium, I would make it 3D. And i would like that a person everytimes says what happens. I would like to have sounds that fit to the situation, that makes it kind of intresting. And pictures that look intresting, but still for chldrens and adults. At the end I would like, like in the planetarium we saw, this little show(but not the smoke). And the film should be for chldrens and adults. For children from 6-99.

  2. I think that a PLANETARIUM should be like a semi-circle just 3D. Then the sound would be more reflected. And instead of just walls ,I would make white walls or mirrors.

  3. light:
use a variety of light/lights (colour, position, strength). Use a light with a dimmer to simulate day and night.
    sound:
silence or a sound that creates a mysterious atmosphere.

  4. I would also like 3D. The light of the sun I would show with a very bright color. The light of the moon with a less bright color.

  5. I would like the planetarium to be a full sphere except at the bottom there would be a little cut where people can sit.
Inside the wall there would be the projector shining on the wall and then some calming & slow music or loud & fast music depending on what kind of pictures they will show. If the music is slow then there will be calming pictures. If there is fast music then there will also be exciting pictures.
